Where was Mummy 2.0 when I lived at home?

My dad and me, taking a “Independence Day picture” with him in a tricolour angavastram(upper garment) which I got for him. Photo by the author’s daughter.

I’ve avoided festivals. I never had the energy to decorate, cook and commemorate India’s million-and-one festivals a year.
Then, my elder daughter left for college.
The younger one has four more years of school.
In four years, the school circuit will be closed to me for ever.
My perspective has changed.
